When Good Design Goes Bad
Well, I can’t speak for the design actually…perhaps just the art direction. The 32nd Rule of Graphic Design : Always make it bigger. No, bigger than that.

I received a email from a designer friend today which contained only this:
BIGGER, DAMN YOU!!
Soon after I received another email, slightly longer, yet no less angst-ridden:
Make THAT bigger as well. Make it all bigger.
The worst part about it is that without any other information I could tell exactly what was happening. I could practically see someone standing over them and pointing this way and that, ushering them to click repeatedly to increase the size of something. In these situations, each drop of the mouse button brings less control. We have all been there. The client pays the bill, and therefore has the final say. Finally, you give in. You make that headline 40 point Comic Sans and you like it. Or at least you stomach it. All because of opinion, the world’s biggest snowball.
